View Full Version : [ubuntu] Can't install on Vaio PCG-FX150

Tried installing Ubuntu 9.04 on Sony Vaio PCG-FX150. Tried all options (acpi=off etc). Went as far as language setting and then hangs.
Then tried Ubuntu Lite...installs in expert mode. (ubuntu generic kernel). Upon reboot keeps asking for password. No password works...tried several times. Is there a backdoor?
Also system clock keeps going out upon reboot by an hour while I am in BST.
Sorry, can't replicate now but any help/tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried Ubuntu 10.04?

It is in beta, but very close to release (will be end of the month).
