View Full Version : [ubuntu] Running from CD befor Install

Ok I have tried like 3 diffrent UBuntu versions from cd I burned CD a friend Burned and DVD i burned and when I run from CD i get bad Grafics so I can not see and My monitor pops up not optum mode 1280X1024 60 Hz so i go back into windows Properties and adjust everything to that and restart it into the CD and again the same thing. I have hit the F4 for more boot options on the CD and choose the minum Grafics mode and then it locks up my system I have had it check the CD for integurity and they are all fine I get this on all 2 CD and DVD copys I have even tried to run the driver Disks for my monitor and grafics cards what is going on???????:confused:
my system is as follows
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.01GHz with 2 Gigs of DDR Ram on an Asus A8N SLI Delux 939 pin MB with 2 100 Gig SATA HD running in Raid 0 and a GForce 6600 Grafics card and a sound blaster X-Fi sound card. my Monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 914v Flat screen

Have you tried a live boot with another Linux, for example Puppy?

which version of ubuntu?

On my desktop computer for example, the 9.10 will simply not run, the 9.04 works fine.
