Help Setting Epson Printer Up

Have an "older" Epson Action Laser 1500 printer and am trying to setup witih Ubuntu - am clueless, as it does not appear the printer is being recognized???? need help in getting this setup - know printer works, as I used within XP for years

Have you tried manually selecting HP Laserjet III/P/Si as the printer driver in Ubuntu as this printer is able to emulate these.
