Hi,
for 4 days I have been going around in circles, possibly making matters worse.
I had foolishly attempted to upgrade Kdenlive(why, why, why?I don't know)
and now kdenlive,openshot wont open,at all.Kino does.
Here is that post
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1454124
I tried to use ppa purge but no luck.
I have been trying to find answers but am really hoping someone can help me after 3 days I am way out of my depth.
I have no prepared backup of my system.
Can I restore to the original settings somehow?
I have a dual boot XP and 64 bit Karmic that WAS working wonderfully,
thanks

HI

Only app from repositories have been tested to work properly, also software center. PPAs have not been tested, there just a convenient way to install apps, so may not be correct or stable on your release.
I don't know kdenlive cant help there.

Thanks,I've thrown it in,just backing up my home folder to do a reinstall of Karmic and start again.
SIGH-that was an expensive lesson about impulsiveness!
