Hey guys, I have this weird problem because I upgraded to Lucid lynx beta, and my ATI drivers don't work anymore... no support yet I guess and because of the vroken package it doesn't let me install skype :( what should I do? And by the way do you have any idea why when I accept to show or view webcams it cancels shortly before it shows.. Any ideas why?

Hi. Still using Hardy myself, but went to the Lucid section and found this thread for you. Hope that it helps and makes sense to you. Maybe some others might come with something better for you.

Here is the link for the original section that I got that thread from. You might find something there also for the web cam problem you're having.

Best of luck.

Ubuntu 10.04 has ATI drivers in its repository.

If you've got an older ATI card (anything that doesn't have the words "Radeon HD" in the name) then ATI does not support those cards anymore with official drivers. However Ubuntu ships with an open-source driver that may give you some degree of 3D acceleration.

I have an HD4980 so I guess it's not old :(

Well aMsn had problems before I upgraded. I select to view my contact's webcam, he/she accpets it and it cancels automatically before anything appears...

EDIT: Graphics Drivers are fixed but I still have the webcam issue...
