Hey,
I know there are threads all over the net regarding this problem, but they all end with a solution I can't use :(
I installed Ubuntu using Wubi with these details:
Windows XP service pack 3
30GB Ubuntu partition
I've had both a single Ubuntu installation and a dual boot using Wubi before (on this system). It installs fine, (a bit quicker than I remember other installations doing though) asks me to reboot and when I choose Ubuntu at the OS choice screen, it brings up a Grub bash screen. So, online help suggests a series of commands but I'd need my kernel version which I don't know. I tried uname -r but it says unknown command.
Any help would be appreciated!
