UVC Installation

I have a Philips SPC1300NC Webcam and I could not get it working in Ubuntu. I thought I would try out KUbuntu and I like it alot! Shortly after installing I looked to see if there was any way to get this webcam working. I found that UVC supports it and decided to install UVC. I have followed this guide, [link] (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UVC), up to where it says to issue the "make menuconfig" command. Once I issue the command I receive the following error, [link] (http://paste.ubuntu.com/415847/). I asked in the KUbuntu IRC channel and someone suggested that I issue the command with sudo.
