i am absolutely stumped. when i last updated online (2.6.32-18), i had endless problems booting.
luckily (then) i had an older kernel to boot from.
removing plymouth allowed me to get in.
now that kernel's removed, and my backup boot is missing. and the update has reloaded plymouth.
the system freezes at the start, and i'm left with only a grub terminal. cannot boot any kernel. simply freezes there.
does anyone know of ANYTHING i can do to get my beautiful linux back?
