I have tried multiple times to install nvidia drivers on Karmic. I hadn't had a problem until Karmic. Everytime I attempt it, it stops halfway.
I've tried through hardware drivers, appearances and terminal using this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=990978&highlight=nvidia+driver+185+won%27t+install+karmic ). When I stop the X.org, I just get the black log on screen and whole lot of nothing.
I haven't cared because honestly this laptop is more for work than play. But I want to be able to display a presentation on a screen for class and this is my first step.
Any help or ideas?
