HI,
I'm trying to disable the alert sound (short drumroll) that plays with every error message on every application. BUT, I don't want to disable this same sound from the login screen "ready" display.
Yes, I've searched here and found posts on how to disable the sound altogether, but nothing on disabling ONLY the alert sound.
This is how it worked in Intrepid and Jaunty. Login screen ready = drumroll. Error message in an application = silence. Because users used to be able to configure it that way, but now that configuration capability is gone in Karmic.
Any ideas?
