Help neeeded with emerald theme manager

I have recently just installed ubuntu, since then I have tried to use emerald and can't get it to work..

I have gone into compizconfig and enabled window decoration and I have entered command

emerald --replace

I have also ran

emerald --replace
afterwards then click on the themes I have imported.. Though nothing happends
Help would be appreciated...

Try choosing the theme first then do


emerald --replace

Tried selecting the theme first and running, the screen became slightly darker for about a minute then went back to normal..

Nice thought though...

Any other ideas?
