After an error free install of the O/S (Server 9.04), successful "apt-get update" and successful decompressing of desktop environment using "apt-get install ubuntu-desktop" my screen resolution seems to be somewhere higher then 800 X 600 which the dislpay adapter can handle (when it was running as a Windows machine) but I can read the right side of the screen. It seems to be refreshing at some odd normal rate. I would like to know how to resolve this. My thoughts are to adjust the resolution/refresh rate from the CLI before loading the desktop. Any ideas as to how to get this done easily?
