Hello. I have a question about the menu bar on the top panel where the "ubuntu logo", "Applications" "Places" and "System" exists. I installed a theme and the background colour of the top panel has changed to black. However, the background colour of menu bar on the left hand side hasn't changed. I want to make it black as well but i couldn't manage to do it. Also a small section on the right hand side of the panel where the log out button and my user name exists, does not have a black background colour.

What should i do to make the entire top panel same colour?
Also i want to change the font colour of"Applications" "Places" and "System" according to the background.

Right click the Panel and select Properties. Then select Background and set your colors.

Thanks for the answer but that is not what i try to ask. What you describe changes the colour of the middle section of the panel. However i want to keep it same and change the background colour of the menu bar (where Apps, Places and Systems exists).

What theme are you trying out? It should take care of that for you.

It's an emerald theme called aero_blue.
