I've got Ubuntu 9.10 installed with the defualt GNOME desktop interface and i'm not really liking it that much

any suggestions on a good interface??
and how do you uninstall the current desktop???

and once it uninstalled the command to install the new one would be something like
is this right or i'm i wrong again????? :P

apt-get install desktop *enviroment name*

i love GNOME.

why didnt you just get kubuntu or something instead of Ubuntu?
that would easily solve your problem with gnome.

Give Gnome-shell a try. I'm really liking it. Do a search here for Gnome-shell and the post will explain how to do the install.
