Hello!

I have some useful Windows Vista/7 gadgets on my Windows desktop. Is it possible to start them in Ubuntu somehow (in fact, them are wrote in cross-platform java script)?
In general, what is native gnome analog of Windows gadgets in Ubuntu?

If you are looking for something like screenlets or desklets, check out the link in my signature. Many Cairo Dock applets can also be treated as desklets. Conky is a neat way put all the stuff you need together elegantly.

You could also consider google gadgets. Install from Synaptic. (google-gadgets-gtk if you are useing Gnome or google-gadgets-qt for both Gnome and KDE)
