problem with my printer

Hello I have a problem here I have a multifunction printer ricoh afico 550 but I can't install it with my ubuntu system everytime I try to install it, it installed as ricoh afico 220 and it's not printing but my windows pc can print easly.
By the the printer in a networking printer

What version of Ubuntu are you using?

Also do you have CUPS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CUPS_%28software%29) installed in your system?
