libglib 2.24 to downgrade

Hi All,

I accidentally upgrade libglib2.0-0 from 2.20 to version 2.24 (upgrade file from Debian deb package). Unfortunately, it disabled other related libraries to update and install. My ubuntu is 8.04. I've tried using 2.20 deb package to overwrite but failed.

Could anyone educate me how to downgrade the library?
