How does one go about making their login background th same as their desktop wallpaper. Attached is an image of the current login background. This question may have been asked before but I couldn't find it in my searching.

Thats almost exactly what I was looking for, but I was looking to change the boot up screen (I don't know what its actually called) shown in the attachment I provided. The screen where a hard drive, tools, a globe, a desktop and the KDE logo all appear before fading to the real desktop.

Again that link worked well, but didn't completely answer my question.

That's the KSplash theme, and you can find more here:

http://kde-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=35x45

You can probably pull one apart and see how to make your own one that uses your wallpaper.

in kde 4.4.2 you can go to system settings> advanced> login manager> theme...

if the listed themes aren't to your liking' simply hit "get new themes" at the bottom of the dialogue.

So it looks like I will have to build myself a Ksplash theme. Thanks for the help.
