I installed Kubuntu 10.04 beta 1 today, and after wrestling with it (and resorting to the alt install disk), I was able to successfully install. Unfortunately, I am unable to actually see anything when I boot up. When it gets to the part where the Xserver starts up (before the login page) all that is displayed is black screen. My monitors don't act as if they've lost signal, they just show black. This is what happened with the normal install disk (and also with the normal install disk in 9.04 and 9.10), however, it never happened once the install was completed. I'm currently stuck in the horrible situation of only being able to use WinXP, and I would really appreciate being able to go back to Kubuntu :)
