Will this driver work with a Lexmark X3550? Looking for a driver for a friend. Can't test it myself right now.

TIA

Did you go to the link? I was under the Lexmark and Linux = NO impression too. But they have started providing drivers for newer models. Thats why I went searching and found this. Seems to be for the x3550. Guess I'll have to try it on the weekend. Nothing to loose.

I didn't see any drivers on the page for your model:

But, it's worth a shot like you said.

I recently got my x5650 running pretty quickly on Lucid (Karmic took a little more work). Here's the thread, as it might be helpful if you run into a problem:

wbar2,

Thanks for the link. Good stuff there. If this driver doesn't work at least I can offer hope for when Lucid is out.

I found no driver under x3550 either. Just found this driver by searching for Ubuntu or Linux while on the x3550 page. Thought maybe I just got lucky. Will post back if it works.

How true. But does look like they are changing their tune.
