I've followed the instructions given in every thread under the sun on this issue.

Below are pics proving this:

Nautilus isn't drawing the desktop

Compiz wallpapers enabled

I definitely have some wallpapers in the settings.

Any ideas why this isn't giving me different backgrounds on each cube face?

41 views and no comment even to point me in a direction to look?
What other processes could be drawing the desktop?

HMMM..well my onboard graphics card I had was causing me problems and I couldnt make the multipule wallpapers work or the cube and sum other things. I ended up going out and buying a Galaxy GeForce 200 series PCI Express graphics card 1GB 128 bit DDR2. Simplify it its a Nvidia Graphics card. Since I installed it, everything has worked from Multiple wallpapers on my cube and all the other compiz stuff. So maybe get a new graphics card is my suggestion and then do all the settings u tried to get the multiple backgrounds goin on ur desktops. If that doesnt work then idk right now. But figured id do what I could to help you out.
