Recently i was performing an update and the system froze. Then I had to force quit everything . Then I restarted the computer and the following error comes up everytime I boot Ubuntu:
a maintainance shell will now be started
Control-D will terminate this shell and retry
give root password for maintainance.
Now when i press Control-D the same error again comes up
But when I give the root password, I am logged in as root and then i dont know what to do.
I am looking forward for some quick replies .
Please Help
