Never really been one for photo managers in Ubuntu, however I decided to install DigiKam. What can I say but excellent. Never realized it had so many features. I list a few bits on ebay, and I have been manually resizing my images in Photoshop in Wine. This DigiKam is a complete timesaver.

Now I looked at FSpot but could not see how I can resize a batch of images, which is why I installed DigiKam.

Can FSpot do the same as DigiKam? and is FSpot more native to Ubuntu?

FSpot uses GTK2 engine
Digikam uses QT4

As Gnomes stuff are GTK2 based then FSpot is more "home" there, and KDE uses QT4 so Digikam feels more home in KDE. But you can use apps cross DEs but the look and feel might not be as espected and fireing up another engine will taakes some more memory and the engine takes a little extra space on the HDD.

Use what best works for you.. Digikam indeed is the most complete photo manager for tux atm.
