So, it says this:

Sorry, installation of this driver failed.

Please have a look at the log file for details: /var/log/jockey.log

Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks! Please!

Nevermind, I think I got it, but now it's slow. Guess I need more ram. D: I have like 512 MB I think lol. XD

With ubuntu, getting the video drivers for nvidia cards should be this easy-

system->administration->hardware drivers

(seems it wont workm with some of the older cards anymore, which is a pity, but its fine with the 8400).

Desktop effects do put a bit more strain on the RAM and CPU, which could be why its slow.

Thanks, I got desktop effects now. I restarted. Yeah, I am going to get 1 GB More of ram when I have the money. Is that enough?

'Add more RAM' is a common response, but if you arent running out of memory, or using a lot of swap space with your current RAM, ithen what you have is already enough. If its 'slow', then check your RAM and CPU use with top/htop (no, dont use gnome system montior- nothign wrong with the program but it sucks more than its share of CPU cycles and RAM and can skew resuls).

As long as your RAM isnt heavily used, and your CPU use is OK, then whatever slowness you get is just the price of desktop effects.
