I apologize if this has been addressed somewhere else, but I've looked and haven't found exactly what I need...

I've configured a complete 9.10 system in a VM using VMware. It's a very slim install done from the mini.iso and simply logs in as a user, starts X using ICEwm, and launches the latest Citrix ICA client to attach to a server.

It works great, but now I'd like to take this configured system and make a bootable CD from it. The goal is to make a CD for a lab of older Dell GX270s to boot into a simple student desktop for Microsoft Office applications and internet browsing.

Thanks for any any all input.

Hi Wayne

Will Remastersys work for what you want to do?

Thanks for the suggestion Gary, unfortunately, I've already tried remastersys. It insists on making too many changes to the system before remastering it, and the resulting ISO errors out on startup.

I'd like an exact copy of the system as it runs in the VM to run from a bootable CD. I'm sure it can be done, but since my Linux kung-fu is weak, I'm floundering a bit. :(

Thanks!
