Everyone who's been on the internet for long enough has probably been exposed to this website:

http://www.flamewarriors.com/index.htm

But I think its time that there be some new entries to this long lauded exposé of the internet troll & or flame warrior.

So impress me with your creativity, you can make up a new archetype totally off the top of the head or just describe yourself.

I think this most describes my behaviour on forums generally, although not this one obviously being a n00b.

Big Cat would rather not fight...he enjoys peacefully observing forum conversations and laconically participates when the moods strikes. He playfully chases interesting threads, and from time to time uses a Newbie or Propellerhead as a convenient scratching post. He enjoys being stroked or petted, and tends to purr loudly. CAUTION: Don't be fooled by his fuzzy, playful exterior. When provoked, Big Cat reacts with lightning speed and almost always lands on his feet after an attack. Big Cat often indulges himself by toying with his victim before delivering his lethal blows.
But if I had to write my own flame warrior, mine would be something like.

Troll Hunter

Troll hunter hates trolls, like a Ninja Assassin he doesn't post a great deal preferring to conserve his strength for important battles. He does not make an appearance in warrior mode on many forums, preferring to lurk in the shadows, or occasionally posting low key messages on various parts of the forum. However one thing you can be sure of is should a troll present itself, Troll Hunter will attack with all the stealth and speed of a black panther on a moonless night. He delights not in being provoked or feeding trolls, but in winding trolls up so that they are banned. So for example Troll Hunter will not flame, resort to ad hominem or respond to anything except to make the troll look ridiculous and his arsenal of weapons is prodigious; experienced, deadly and seldom bested by any but the cleverest most pernicious troll. Should the Troll Hunter himself be banned, he will return better armed next time to continue the fight against insidious parasite that are forum trolls. For the Troll Hunter the price of ignorant trolling is death or perma bans. Troll hunters antithesis is obviously Troller although he has little or no interest in most other denizens, warrior or not. He is usually unable to be coaxed into battle unless his prowess or skills as a hunter of human flotsam is challenged.Thought it'd make an interesting thread for my first one. Those who don't feel like exercising their creative juices feel free to post anything of interest about the history of the web and the evolution of it therein.

I've been on internet forums for 8 years now, and they never cease to amaze me, whether good or bad, if that concept means anything to a free change of ideas and a subjective medium.

Unlike the picture I tend to be one of those harmless drunks who just gets silly. I'm much more likely to lash out when sober than drunk.

That said I think bliss ninny makes me laugh, and Ferrous Cranius is someone we've all met, the guy who just cannot be wrong about anything.
