I have an old first gen clamshell ibook. I have decided to install Ubuntu on it and re-purpose it as a way to access my Gcal and my recipes on Gourmet. I tried to do this with 7.04 but the original airport card wasn't supported at the time, this seems to have been addressed so I am going to give it another go.

Obviously this is a system of few resources so I want to go light weight, yet reliable. I have a pretty good plan laid out but im a bit stumped on the window manager. I was thinking Openbox or Fluxbox but if memory serves me right these two probably wouldn't be too friendly on a system with a single mouse button. Am I right on that? Do any of you fine folks have any favorite window managers for old macs?

i dont know about that very much

GMC AC Drier (http://www.discountacparts.com/GMC/A-C_Accumulator-Drier.html)

Geo AC Drier (http://www.discountacparts.com/Geo/A-C_Accumulator-Drier.html)
...

Anyway, I was going to recommend either Openbox or fluxbox... I'm not too familiar with older windows managers.

Ya i like Openbox and Fluxbox, but dont they both require a 2 or three button mouse to be able to access all the menus and such? Older macs only have a single button on the trackpad.

I think i might go with Lxde, it seems really light, and single mouse button friendly.
