Hi all.
I just found the DAAP sharing plugin for rhythmbox and needless to say it is awesome. I have a Windows XP computer in my Home Network. I was wondering if there is a similar software/music player for Windows which I can use for Windows-to-Windows and Rhythmbox-to-Windows music sharing.

[EDIT]: I would prefer not to use iTunes.

I'm pretty sure Windows Media Player does that. Not sure which version they started with though.

Is it possible with MediaMonkey? Is it possible to get music shared from Rhythmbox?

the protocol is called DAAP, lots of software supports it:

note: older versions of iTunes would work with any DAAP program, but new versions check that it is iTunes on the other end. So if you want a mix of programs avoid iTunes.

Only if there is iTunes on the other end.

There is Firefly: http://www.fireflymediaserver.org/
or
Tangerine: http://snorp.net/pages/tangerine
but the Windows version is a little old.
