About 25 years ago I saw a movie called "Voyage of the Rock Aliens".

I don't remember a thing about it but I remember really liking it in a corny kind of way.

I can't find it now to save my life. But I'd like too.

I also really like Short Circuit.

FFVII: Advent Children. I love the series but that movie was a total flop. I still bought it regardless

Not exactly a movie, but I thought some aspects of the original "V" TV series were a bit tacky.

Planet Terror, and Death Proof come to mind. These movies were purposely horrible, yet they were awesome at the same time. I still haven't figured that one out yet. Quentin Tarantino is special.

A few from my collection of so-bad-it's-good movies:

- Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
- Godzilla (the original English translation, with Raymond Burr hacked into it to give American audiences a familiar face)
- War of the Gargantuas
- Plan 9 from Outer Space
- Glen or Glenda (this one is actually nigh-unwatchable)
- Manos: The Hands of Fate (this one actually is unwatchable -- the only version I could find was the MST3k one)
- The Dunwich Horror (the old one starring Dean Stockwell)
- Zarzoz (with Sean Connery wearing the worst costume in cinema history, complete with red loincloth, ammunition belts across his chest, knee-high leather boots, and a 70s porn star moustache)
- Snakes on a Plane (the intentional B-movie)
- Dungeons and Dragons 2: Wrath of the Dragon God (it's actually much better than the original D&D movie, despite being a direct-to-DVD sequel)
- Starship Troopers 1, 2, and 3 (all bad, but all fun in their own ways)
- Messiah of Evil
- Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet (this one looks like it was originally in Russian, but the Americans imported the footage and re-dubbed in in English with an unrelated plot during the Cold War)
- The Horrors of Spider Island
- Robot Monster (this is on Wikipedia's list of Worst Movies Ever)
- Eegah
- Flesh Gordon and Flesh Gordon Meets the Intergalactic Cheer Leaders (porn meets sci-fi parody -- the first one is better than the sequel)
- The Day of the Triffids (the original black-and-white one with the annoying ice cream truck)
- They Came from Beyond Space
- Thor and the Amazon Women
- Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (A comedy featuring Bill Mahr as the studly, heroic lead character. The plot revolves around the Strategic North American Avocado Reserve. Enough said.)
- Black Sheep (a zombie movie with genetically-engineered sheep instead of zombies; what could go wrong?)
- Cube and Cube 2: Hypercube (some people hate these movies, but I think they're both really good. In a lot of ways I think Cube is the better of the two)

*whew* That was a long list. I have many, many more bad movies in my collection. And you can find many of them online at Public Domain Torrents (http://www.publicdomaintorrents.com/). Download and seed these movies; they're copyright-free and therefore legal to distribute!

How is this a "Best of the Worst"? Nothing but Best here. If we are going this route, I'd have to say almost anything by John Carpenter. They Live is one that really comes to mind.

Wasn't Omega Man a poor attempt at Richard Mathesons I Am Legend novel? Not as bad as the Will Smith one mind. Nevermind, a great book shafted by two crap adaptations.

Hellraiser movies were hilariously bad. All of them. They were so camp only teenage goths thought they were cool.

Reign of Fire has to be my choice. It's a poor movie in every regard but just incredibly watchable. Also Equilibrium, terrible terrible film (more cliches than you can poke a stick at), but entertaining all the same. Christian Bale has made some well average films.

Yeah, it is pretty hard to beat that costume:

What bugs me most about Zardoz is that it would make for a really good novel if it was written by someone competent. But there's no denying its campy appeal as a film!

The king of these kinds of movies is UHF with Weird Al. I've probably watched that movie 50 times.

Also Caveman...great movie. I love when they discover music.

no no no, Bill & Teds are first rate A-list movies. I watch them annually.

if you are looking for class Q, then i suggest you check out "El topo". it is the worst movie ever made. if you can make it through all 3 hours, you become immune to bad movies.

I'm excited about that documentary coming soon about the fan culture that grew up around "Troll 2". I'll be surprised if I don't see someone I know in it.

so if you are looking for class Q, start with movies from FullMoon/BlueMoon productions, Troma, The Asylum, and of course, anything with Bruce Campbell in it.

Wow, i had forgotten about that one. one of his few appearances in a first run big budget film (though i recall being disappointed). I liked teh Tom Arnold "McHales Navy" he was in. he did a fight scene (bar brawl) holding a Martini, and kicked much butt without spilling a drop. great stuff, that there.

Wasn't Omega Man a poor attempt at Richard Mathesons I Am Legend novel?
Yes, it was. According to Wikipedia, the author said it was so far removed from his book that it didn't bother him. I agree, the Will Smith remake was awful. I fell asleep during parts of it.

Hellraiser movies were hilariously bad. All of them. They were so camp only teenage goths thought they were cool.
Well, I was a teenage neo-hippie. I thought it was cool when it came out and I still think it's cool. I can quote most of that movie from memory.

"No!" "No?" "No! It wasn't hands that called us here... it was... desire."

"I'll get you some clothes. I can do that... I'm a doctor."

"We're not doing anything till I check the house."

"We have all eternity to know your flesh."

And, of course, the best albeit sickest scene in the movie...

"GET THEM OFF ME!!! GET... THEM... OFF... ME!!!"
