I've seen several reports of problems with Karmic and i915 graphics (on board) but nothing exactly like what I'm seeing... so, here goes:
I upgraded to Karmic today. Now, when the display is in 1400x1050 60 Hz mode, the screen flickers, goes off sometimes, and generally behaves badly. In the next lower setting, 1024x768, all is fine (regardless of refresh rate). The monitor apparently does not support 1400x1050 in any refresh other than 60 Hz, so I can't try other rates.
Any suggestions?
