Is there anyway to get a theme that will make my screen resemble that of the computers from futuristic movies (i.e. Avatar, Race to witch Mountain, etc.)?

I'm not very familiar with the themes out there, but you can always check this link and see if there's something you like:

Cheers!

Feel free to recommend some themes after you've finished your search. (:

I did it! Instead of finding a new theme, I altered an old one.

Steps:
Download MidnightOSX theme in Controls. www.art.gnome.org/themes
Apply MidnightOSX.
Open Appearance.
Customize a theme.
Select MidnightOSX as controls.
Select Dark Room as window border.
save theme.
Open Compiz Config Settings Manager.
Go to Trail Focus.
Change number of windows to 15. (may or may not be necessary)
Change opacity of focused & unfocused windows to 90.
Go to Window Decoration.
Change Shadow Radius to 18.0.
Change Shadow Opacity to 6.0.
Change Shadow Color to Red.
Apply cool, dark desktop background.
Sit back and bask in your awesomeness.

I always thought the Iron Man interface was very futuristic, however, probably not very practical. There was a deleted scene where Tony checks his e-mail that had a great interface as well.

Not bad.
Right now I'm experimenting with Conky, but someday I'll start messing around more with the themes.
