View Full Version : [SOLVED] how to install java,amsn etc. in the synaptic package manager?

i downloaded packages of java and amsn but i cant see them in the synaptic package manager.when i search them i cant find and when i click file--> add downloaded packages ,it doesnt take this packages.what can i do about this? thanks.

Hi -

The synaptic package manager is used to download and install packages.

Search for java, select 'java-common', and apply. Synaptic will download java and install it for you.

yes i searched for both of them but i couldnt find any expression about java or amsn in synaptic manager.

enable the ubuntu-parner source, via ubuntu software sources: search sun java
