I've been using apt-cacher-ng for a while and I was wondering if I can somehow use it with mini.iso so I can very rapidly install new systems.
I couldnt work out how to get mini.iso to go to apt-cacher-ng and not an outside mirror.

Sorry to unearth this thread, but i am having the same problem and wondered if you solved this problem with apt-cacher-ng.

I used to bypass this by using a nfsroot for the alternate.iso which was providing a "minimal install" preseed which disappeared with natty.

The alternative here is obviously to write my own preseed, or using apt-mirror instead of apt-cacher-ng.

But it frustate me because I can't get why these first downloded files are not cached by apt-cacher-ng.
