Ok, I have the following config:
Linux vaio 2.6.28-18-generic #59-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 28 01:23:03 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
fglrx, xorg-ati,etc : 8.681-0ubuntu1
Ubuntu 9.04
ati card: Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series
THE PROBLEM:
I do aticonfig --initial -f and the system gets configured.
If I bootup with this config, the system will freeze, just a blank screen, i cant do ctrl+alt+backspace, anything just the power button.
If I boot up with "xfix" settings, and then i do aticonfig --initial -f, and i logout, it will work. If I logout again, it will freeze.
So I am unable to boot up with aticonfig Xorg.conf file, but I can boot up with xfix Xorg.conf file, and logout to load my fglrx driver.
I dont know what to do and it is getting frustrating.
