Mine is Hulu Desktop. It's what I use to watch Tv shows. :P And it looks awesome.

I can't pick just one. My favorite include Banshee for music, Miro for my Podcasts, and Stellarium. Even though I haven't used it in a while, I use to have fun checking Stellarium out. 8) I probably have a few more I can't think of at the moment.

There are so many good ones it's hard to pick just one...but if I had to choose, I'd probably go with Rhythmbox. I like to listen to music when surfing the Web or working on projects, and Rhythmbox fits that need perfectly.

Nautilus. It is a good application, it browses files. It looks nice. It even lets you customize the background with little feet if you want.

I can't think of any truly Linux-only apps I use...

MPlayer, MythTV - but then I have those on my Mac as well. Watch all my movies and TV with them.

vim - probably my most-used app of all, but I even have that on my WinXP machine at work.

Firefox and Thunderbird are on all machines as well.

Oh, wait! My favorite Sudoku game (and I've tried quite a few) is the one that comes with Gnome! :D I even play it in a Linux VM on my Mac because I haven't found one I like as much for OS X.

Assuming we're talking about a Linux-only app... probably Choqok.

Exaile is pretty good too (I still miss Amarok but it's been acting wonky since 2.0. And I'm not just saying that cause I dislike the UI... :P )

My newest favorite app is guayadeque. Others are vlc, firefox, gedit, gnome-terminal, transmission, and htop.

probably the package managers of arch and baboontu, whichever one i'm using (i despise the one in sabayon. i'd like to use the app in my lifetime). they're like buffets for people who are constantly switching everything.

Well, the multiplatform apps I use in Linux and love are XBMC, Calibre, JDownloader, SSH, Banshee, Firefox, XChat, and Okular.

Now, I use WINE and Miro to run things like Mangameeya, Domdomsoft, TVRenamer, Ember Media Manager, Diablo 2, etc. So I definitely have a lot of love for those projects.

And of course, I can't forget Bash and Terminator.

Gnome-Do, Inkscape, Blender3D, Pidgin, Nautilus. They're all really well designed with productivity in mind.

There are too many to have to specify just one, but I'd say the best I use the most and leave me impressed are:
- Geany
- K3B
- Inkscape
- Thunderbird
- Octave

But then again, all the apps I use on a daily basis are just plain simple AWESOME. From Gnote, dropbox, to Chromium and VLC.

They tend to get installed quite quickly after any new install.
