Karmic Koala, system-> preferences -> windows -> Titlebar Action (Double-click titlebar to perform this action: Maximize) doesn't work.
If you are using emerald as the theme manager, you have to into system/ preferences /Emerald theme manager / emerald settings and change titlebar behavior
