Ubuntu cant find my harddrive on Acer AOD250

Like the title says. When i try to install i get past the language options and get to step 4 where you have to pick a partition.
But the screen is blank. I've tried to set my controller to ide in bios but that doesnt help.
If i put my usb stick in Ubuntu finds it but still not my HDD.

Any had similar problems ?

Enter the bios and change the SATA mode, tell me if that works ..

I changed it back to AHCI, and was able to find it using the live cd. Once formatted i was able to find and install Ubuntu. ;D
