Hi guys.
Just wanted to know how come Ubuntu has no sounds. I already installed ubuntu twice and it's still the same. I'm using a COMPAQ CQ40, and have Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.05 as my dual OSs. Ubuntu wasn't like this before (in fact, I already used Ubuntu before, and all drivers were working just fine). I'm thinking that maybe this is because of my other OS (Windows 7), because everything in Ubuntu was working just fine when I had Vista installed. It just so happens that the sound drivers no longer work after I installed 7. I've already looked around the other threads and nothing seems to work. Any ideas how to solve this?
By the way, my sound device is:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
