View Full Version : [ubuntu] messed up "/etc/apt/sources.list", downloads not available

Trying to install Firefox 3.6, I accidentally used the command:

"sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mozilla-daily/p... (http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa/ubuntu) karmic main' > /etc/apt/sources.list"

and ended up losing my "/etc/apt/sources.list". Now I get the message "not available in the current data" when I try to download anything in the Ubuntu Software Center. I'd hate to have to reinstall everything *again* today just so I can have the software center back.

Anyone know how to fix this?
