Hi all. I'm new to Ubuntu.
Updates have always caused me problems, such as unstable beta invasion. So I avoided updating for a while because I simply haven't had time to fix the little problems caused. Today I had some time on my hands so I updated my system. About 20mins and something like 250MB later my update is finished and I restart as prompted.
Now Ubuntu won't start at all. I get the white logo in the middle of the screen then it disappears and my HD light goes off and stays off, leaves me hanging in the dark, doing nothing.
So what now???
And why the hell is updating my system always such a headache????????????????? I'd expect the opposite.
