I want to install Limewire or Frostwire or something like it. I am using 10.04. I went looking everywhere for help and I can't find any anywhere. Frostwire says that I'm missing the Java JRE so I made sure that it was installed and it still doesn't work. Then with Limewire, I didn't even try with because it says I'm missing the Java JRE, icedtea-java7-jre, sun-java6-jdk, and icedtea-java7-jdk. I know what the JRE and the JDK are, but the others I've never herd of so I came here. I've been using Ubuntu/Linux for a while now, but I still can't seem to get it to work.

Do you have partners repository installed? I believe that is where Java resides.

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner

It's going through for me. Have you installed ubuntu-restricted-extras?

Yet again I have no idea how to mark this solved, but the deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner fixed it. Thanks a million.
