I tried moving my window buttons back to the right because having them on the left was driving me batty (what a stupid idea). I used the normal method that is working for most people
gconf-editor apps > metacity > regular >button layout > menu:maximize,minimize,close:
But my close button has disappeared and I can't get it back. I've googled and can't find an explanation.
