cd drive compatible with ubuntu?

I am new to Ubuntu, the desktop that it(Ubuntu) is installed on does not have a cd drive yet. I think I have found one on newegg but i am worried that it will not be supported by Ubuntu because it is not listed in the compatibility section. Here is the link if someone could check it out and tell me if it will work.

I would say Ubuntu you will not have any problem with your DVD/CD, It is printers and scanners where you can have problems.

I'm using a slightly older version of that drive, and never had any issues with any of the linux distros I've used with it.
