I installed Compiz..., and love the "expo" setting. Who needs KDE?
Anyway one thing that kind of drags is how when you switch to expo view, you can't really manipulate work with the workspaces contents. You can move the windows, switch them to different workspaces .. but can't hit a submit button on a webpage, or activate the Applications button/menu, without exiting expo mode first.
Is there any way to be able to work more in expo view? Or is there a gnome alternative -- w/o changing window managers ... or with ... but without causing too many hickups (read <http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/3848>).
