View Full Version : Will songs bought through ubuntu one music store be DRM protected?

After reading the text in the picture in this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1443366), I'm wondering, will those DRM restrictions apply on/to ubuntu?

No. Most of the songs in the Ubuntu One Music Store are .mp3 with 256kpbs or greater quality. There is no DRM on those files. A few of them are still .wma and you will want to avoid those files because they are not even playable.
