Just when I was preparing my Goals and objectives for this year in my office, something hit me "What were the goals and objectives for Ubuntu as such, lets say for the next 2 to 3 years or may be more?".

Usually the Ubuntu project doesn't plan much more than 6 months ahead. I'm sure shortly we'll hear some of the general plans for Ubuntu 10.10, and then after the Ubuntu Developers Summit we'll hear some more concrete ideas.

With this question i not only intended to ask about the specific goals but also wanted to get a feel of what the other ubuntu users think of how ubuntu should be after a year or two.
