So I've typically installed SpamAssassin and SpamD via aptitude, but I'm wanting to run the latest builds, and those don't seem to be readily available via aptitude.

Where I'm running in to problems is my startup scripts - I'm running SpamD on a backend system that is just used for SPAM filtering - another mailserver actually processes the mail.

I need to pass command-line arguments to SPAMD to allow other IP addresses to connect to it, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to specify that. Any suggestions?
