Hi all. Just wanted to post a quick note to let people know about a new KDE network traffic monitoring tool called Socket Sentry (http://code.google.com/p/socket-sentry). It's a Plasma widget that sits on your desktop or a panel and binary packages (http://code.google.com/p/socket-sentry/wiki/GetSoftware) are available for Kubuntu. Here are a couple of screenshots. Try it out and let me know what you think. Thanks.

How do you instal it on kubuntu 10.10? I tried to add instructions found here:
http://code.google.com/p/socket-sentry/wiki/GetSoftware#Kubuntu

I tried using the 10.04 repo since that's the latest available but it didn't work saying:
Depends: kdebase-workspace-libs4+5 (>=4:4.3.2) but it is not installed

Thanks

I'm sorry, I'm behind in updating the binary packages. My plan is to do that again once Natty comes out. In the meantime, it is pretty easy to build and install it from the source tarball. Just download it and follow the instructions for Kubuntu in the INSTALL document. If you have any trouble, let me know.
