I have my windows set with a border I like through Emerald - I will attach a screen shot - but after I am away from the computer for a while, my Emerald borders are MISSING! Does anyone know why this would happen and how I would fix it?
Oh that is right - the desktop cube is gone as well so all of Compiz is gone. Okay, forget the screen shot, it is worse than I thought!
The last time this happened I started Compiz and then the entire machine hung up and I had to reboot.
There is nothing called Compiz in the process list. I shutdown the computer every day when I leave for work so any troubleshooting will need to wait until the next time this happens but I thought I would put the question out there. I am running Mint 8 which is really Ubuntu 9.10
