Beta Install

I'm currently using a home PC, I don't mind taking any chances with. I really want to try the new Ubuntu 10.04, however I've never tried a Beta version of Ubuntu before. When the full version is released, am I going to have to reinstall, or will it just all be patched through via updates? Are there any disadvantages to using the Beta when wanting to use the actual release in the future?

Basically, unless you're a seasoned, expert Ubuntu user, you should NOT be messing around with a Beta version of the OS. These are released for testing purposes (to get feedback), are known to be inherently unstable, prone to bugs, and can often crash your system without warning.
